STEM Education

With over 20 years of experience across STEM fields in industry, academia, and teaching, we focus with partners on core questions shaping STEM education today:

  • How can we design equitable and productive learning environments?
  • How does civic reasoning become part of STEM learning, not separate from it?
  • How should STEM curriculum and instruction evolve in the age of AI?
  • How do we evaluate and strengthen policies that shape equitable and rigorous STEM learning?

Educator Workforce Development

Educators play a critical role in learners’ journeys and in fostering a productive and equitable learning environment. We work with our partners in addressing:

  • What strategies and pathways produce a diverse, equity-oriented, and high-quality educator workforce?
  • What factors and conditions contribute to teacher well-being and retention across different school contexts and career stages?
  • How do we better understand and improve programs addressing teacher shortages, preparation, and licensing options?

System-Level Analysis

  • What can we learn from administrative data about learning, teaching, and policy implementation? Key areas include:
    • Educator quality and professional development
    • Student sorting patterns and equity
    • Learning interventions and pathways
    • Standards alignment and assessment
  • How do sociocultural narratives, belief systems, family engagement, and institutional structures shape policy implementation and access to learning opportunities? We examine these dynamics across both learners and educators to drive system-level change.
